Role Summary / Purpose
The Manager - Integrated Media Planning will lead the development and execution of integrated media strategies across TV, digital, OTT, OOH and social platforms. This role is responsible for media planning, campaign optimisation, cross-channel measurement and ensuring plans deliver on brand and commercial objectives. The post-holder will work closely with commercial, creative and analytics teams, as well as with external media partners and agencies, to drive effective, insight-led media investment.
We are seeking an experienced media planner who combines strategic thinking, strong commercial judgement and hands-on media skills. The ideal candidate will have experience across traditional and digital channels, be adept at audience planning and measurement, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Media Strategy & Planning
Develop integrated media strategies that align with brand objectives, target audiences and campaign KPIs.
Create channel-specific and cross-channel media plans, recommending optimal reach, frequency and budget allocation.
Use audience insight, market research and competitive analysis to inform planning decisions.
2. Campaign Execution & Optimisation
Lead end-to-end campaign planning and execution, including flighting, targeting, pacing and trafficking instructions.
Monitor campaign performance daily/weekly, apply optimisation levers and recommend reallocations to maximise ROI and KPI delivery.
Work with trading and analytics teams to implement A/B testing, dynamic creative optimisation and programmatic strategies.
3. Measurement & Reporting
Define measurement frameworks and success metrics for integrated campaigns, ensuring clear attribution where possible.
Prepare regular performance reports and post-campaign analyses, translating data into actionable recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with data teams to refine audience segments, build dashboards and improve forecasting accuracy.
4. Stakeholder Management & Client Service
Act as the primary media planning contact for assigned clients and internal account teams, presenting plans and performance updates.
Maintain strong relationships with media owners, platforms and agency partners to secure competitive rates and premium opportunities.
Support new business pitches with media planning insight, rationale and budget modelling.
5. Budgeting & Commercial Oversight
Manage media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation across channels and adherence to financial targets.
Negotiate media buys and trading terms with partners to deliver value and campaign uplift.
Ensure accurate forecasting, cost tracking and reconciliation in collaboration with finance and operations.
6. Team Leadership & Collaboration
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior planners and trading colleagues, fostering skills development and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate closely with creative, analytics, production and account teams to ensure seamless campaign delivery.
Champion best practice in planning, measurement and process improvements across the department.
Qualifications & Requirements
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Business, Communications or a related field.
● Experience: Minimum 6+ years in media planning and buying, with experience across OOH, digital, TV/streaming and programmatic channels.
● Strong understanding of audience planning, attribution models, measurement tools (e.g. Google Analytics, DV360, The Trade Desk, Nielsen or equivalent).
● Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
● Proven stakeholder management and presentation skills; experience working with brands and agency partners.
● Comfortable managing budgets, negotiating with media owners and working to commercial targets.
● Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple campaigns concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
